Charissa Jarrett is an American writer and artist of Jamaican heritage. However, she doesn't exclusively define herself by any of the mixes of her ancestors. Instead, she embraces them all equally; African, European, and the Native Arawak-speaking Taino, are her. A sense of self imparted by her family.
A successful business woman with a Master’s in Business and Arts, she understands throughout life there will be struggles.
Charissa began to create art on different canvases through pen and paint mediums. Not only for herself, but to let others know they are not alone. And within the struggles of life, there are joys, triumphs to be had. That life ebbs and flows and we have to fight through the storms to relish the moments in the sun. Until the day everyone realizes we are the same. We are only one thing: human.
Even after that, I will keep creating so we never forget.
